I might even go so far as to say it's probably the best "monster" performance since Boris Karloff in BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN.

I recently had my first BATMAN story published and, although I wrote it before the release of THE DARK KNIGHT, I can't read my own Joker dialog without hearing Heath's voice in my head.

I hope he wins tonight. Far better than Jack Nickelson.
Yeah, I'm a Batman fan. He deserved an Oscar-as far as I'm concerned it is not a pity Oscar. He earned it. Crazy!Nancy J. It was very effective, even genuinely dazzling at times, with that added dimension. When Brenden spat into the sink it was uncannily gross from my perspective...!

Not great film-making, to be sure, but it isn't pretending to be. Often, I'd much rather watch something "fun" than a brilliantly artful drama that's going to depress me for a week.

(And I do think the Oscars are snobbish. I haven't watched them for years, and really don't care who wins...except for Heath Leger, of course).Martin Powellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08178236776724050838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8797742184466184860.post-23411842524580924342009-02-22T15:05:00.000-06:002009-02-22T15:05:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Martin Powellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08178236776724050838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8797742184466184860.post-56329477865339020142009-02-22T14:08:00.000-06:002009-02-22T14:08:00.000-06:00Thanks for the movie reviews, Nancy. I'm glad to hear your review of the movie and that you enjoyed it.

I'm with you on the other two--probably will wait for them to come to cable television.Pamala Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12823051545160002135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8797742184466184860.post-53976874643173174882009-02-22T11:49:00.000-06:002009-02-22T11:49:00.000-06:00Oh, now I liked the third mummy movie- not as well...Oh, now I liked the third mummy movie- not as well as the first-but I did like it.

Did you see it with 3D glasses?
